When a group of employers gathers with a group of professional candidates for an afternoon of conversation and connection, good things happen!  The Regional Professional Career Expo took place on March 19, from 1-6pm, and over 80 recruiters and representatives from over 45 different companies and organizations started a connection with 400 professional candidates.  The lights brightly illuminated the three halls at Roma Lodge in Racine and the booths were well staffed with recruiters, handouts and door prizes while the candidates, dressed to the nines, waited patiently to talk with human resource executives.  “It was a day like no other”, Anne Spieker, Professional Career Consultant comments.    “To see candidates walk into the hall dressed in suits and ties ready to talk with employers, just sends you through the roof”.   “I get excited for both the employers and the candidates; you just don’t know when that connection will happen”.

This year’s event was a smashing success and employers and candidates couldn’t say enough about the set up and the quality of the show!  There were 38 employers recruiting for open positions, not to mention the opportunities to network with  organizations, schools  and business representatives for those with entrepreneurial interests.  All found the career expo venue a great way to make stronger connections.  2009 Expo date is March 18, 2009!  For more information regarding next years Expo, please contact Anne Spieker at 262-638-6640 or email at anne.spieker@goracine.org
