Job Corps

What Is Job Corps?

Its a Federally funded program that provids education and vocational training for youth ages 16-24 at no cost.
Job corps is administered by the U.S. Department of Labor and is funded by  the United States Congress.It was established in 1964.

Requiments:

  • Ages 16-24
  • U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident
  • Meet Income Requierments
  • Motivated and Committed

Required Documents:

  • Copy of Birth Certificate, Social Sercurity Card,State ID or Drivers Licence,Immunization Records
  • Copy of last HS Transcript, Diploma or GED, & last Individual Education Plan(IEP),if applicable
  • Copy of Health Insurance Card, if applicable
  • Minors: Parent Or Gardian must be at interview. Gardians need court documentation
  •  5 Emergency contacts (Must have diffrent names, adresses, and telephone numbers)
  • One page typed essay (Guidlines provided at orientation)

 Starting part-time for the winter monthes, 1-2 days
depending on the workload.  During the spring, summer and early fall
the hours will increase to 20-40 per week.

Job Requerments:

The person thet we are looking for needs to be at
least 16 yrs of age, have a valid divers licence, good driving records,
and have relieable transportatin to and from work.  You have to be able to lift
at least 50lbs minimum and be physically fit.  It would help if You are
mechanically incliened.  Also, if they have ever worked on a farm befor
or have a intrest in farm work and working with animals that would be a pluse.  
You need to have a good attitude and be able to work unsupervised.

Important:

Ability to work long hours in various weather/envirmental conditions
English language skills (speak/read/write) are necessary to understand employer
instuctions.

Job Duties:

The workrer will perform general work rousabouts/handy person duties include cleaning the cow/pigs pens and chicken coop also cleaning and general repair work in the barn.  This person will be trained to drive/operate farm equipment (tractor, truck, ect...) in the field and in baling, stacking and delivering hay/straw.  General duties will include:  Cutting and stacking wood, general cleaning and picking up.

Racine Police Explorer 286

WANTED!!!! by the Racine Police Explorer Post 286-Youth from
14 through 20 years of age.

We are looking for TEENAGERS that are intrested in exploring the
career fields of  LAW ENFORCEMENT and EMERGENCY SERVICES. 
The Racine Police Department sponsored Explore Post, an extention of
Boys Scouts of America, is now accepting applications for youth that
wish to gain experince in these fields.

Formed in 1969, Explore post 286 has served hundreds of youth that
were intrested in making a career choice in Law enforcement or in
emergency services.

Explore post 286 members have the benifit of having adult volunteer
advisors that actully work in the field of law  enforcement and
emergency service.  These volunteer advisors and guest speakers
host weekly meetings held on Wednesday nights from 7-9PM in the Racine
Police Department auditorium.

Youth participate in:

  • Hands-on Training of Police Tactics*Ride-a-longs*Team Work Exercises*
  • Weapon Firing*Critical thinking*Developing Leadership Skills*
  • Conferences*Competitions From Post to National Levels*

have an intrest in checking out this this volunteer program, can
