Career Assessments

Minimize

Job seekers can select from two separate assessment or testing tools to assist with their career search:

  • Career Assessment Workshop – Job seekers can evaluate their abilities and interests with the CAPS aptitude test and Harrington O’Shea career inventory.  Test results are provided and occupational options discussed. The test is offered the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month.   Call 638-6429 or 638-6404 to register.
  • Self-Directed Search (SDS) – Whether you are looking for a college major, beginning a job search, or thinking about a career change, the SDS will provide valuable career information.  The SDS was developed by Dr. John Holland, whose theory of careers is the basis for most of the career inventories used today.

Other Services include:

  • Career Awareness Software
  • Career Exploration Books and references
  • Career Development and Job Search Videos
  • And much more!
